On Monday, February 6th, two massive earthquakes hit southern Turkey and northern Syria. As a result, more than 50,000 people have died, and whole cities and communities have been displaced. Acts of Mercy is responding to this crisis alongside our national partners on the ground.

As of August 2023, we have deployed 16 teams to Turkey.

Looking Forward

As we move into the next phase of response, we are deliberating with our local partners what development can look like for the coming 6-9 months. This may look like English clubs, art clubs, helping in the community center, helping build more substantial long-term housing, and giving heaters to families before winter fully comes.
