THE CHURCH ON THE FRONTLINES
We mobilize the Church to take a leading role in times of crisis, providing relief, humanitarian aid, and supporting long-term community development.
Pray for Venezuela
Thank you for continuing to pray with us for the people of Venezuela following the devastating earthquakes. Our hearts remain with those who have lost loved ones, homes, and communities in this tragedy.
As we continue to assess the situation, we want to share our current approach.
At this time, our initial response will be to work within the Antioch movement, alongside both U.S.-based and international teams, and with trusted people and organizations who already have a long-term vision for and commitment to serving Venezuela.
Our role in this season will primarily be one of coordination, support, and partnership as we evaluate needs, strengthen local efforts, and prayerfully discern how the response may develop. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and make adjustments as needed if the scale or nature of the response changes.
Because of this, we are not issuing a general call for a large deployment of First Responders. Instead, we are beginning by mobilizing those who already have a clear vision for Venezuela and sense the Lord's leading to serve there.
We invite you to join us in praying:
Father,
Today we lift up the people of Venezuela. In the aftermath of these earthquakes, we ask that You would draw near to every family and every community affected. Be present with those who are grieving, those who have lost homes or livelihoods, and those facing uncertainty in the days ahead.
We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be none. Provide shelter for those displaced, strength for exhausted families, and wisdom for local leaders as they navigate the challenges ahead. Let those who feel overwhelmed find courage for today and hope for tomorrow.
We pray for the Church across Venezuela. May Your people be quick to open their doors, share what they have, and care for their neighbors with the compassion of Christ. As they serve their communities, may they reflect the hope of the Gospel and remind those who are hurting that they are not alone.
Lord, even as the earth has been shaken, You remain unshaken. Be a constant refuge for those who need You, and may Your peace guard hearts in the days ahead.
In Jesus' name, amen.
