JRO Fund Raiser


	A year long campaign with the theme phrase “Educate to Empower” was launched at the JRO curtain raiser on the 23rd of July and was a direct reaction to witnessing the harsh reality of life for the children at Mahabalipuram. The main objective of the campaign is to create awareness and generate supportive interest among the public, especially Upper Middle Class and Upper Class of our society to support the under privileged children to get back to school.
The campaign will be carried out through: Working with the private elite schools to motivate and sensitise children to participate in the campaign using creative ways. Lady Andal School is working with the AOM this JRO. The children have made theme posters, "Save Our Children" badges, and would be at the Unwind Center on the 15th August 2005 at 7 pm to reflect their thoughts on Child Labour. Sensitizing the music aficionados who frequent the Unwind Center through Videos and Power point presentation depicting our Campaign theme. Working with the youth volunteers at colleges and corporates to spread awareness message of the campaign. Theme T shirts and bookmarks are on sale at every JRO venue for public to endorse their solidarity to the cause. A raffle fundraiser to raise funds to build our own Community Development Center in Mahabalipuram.
